The Flower That Keeps on Giving for Every Occasion...

For our Canadian Thanksgiving in October my youngest son Richard gave me this sweet plant. There were 3 different  versions of the plant each with different coloured flowers but I don't know what it is called.
It continued to look pretty and for Hallowe'en it sat in a Pumpkin pot.  I just can't find that picture.
Now its sitting pretty for Christmas. I have the whole pot sitting in a different pot with a Christmas ring around it.

The flowers had given up after Hallowe'en and I plucked them off.  But because the leaves are pretty being a thicker, waxier type I kept it even without the flowers.

and now its flowering...I was so excited to see the buds all over and now the blooms are starting.
I don't know what the plant is though.....hmmmmm..
Even Frosty the Snowman is smiling as it looks over the pretty plant.
This flower is adapting to each special occasion.

But I still don't know what it's called?  Do you know?  Hope you can help.. Judi xoxo

Update:  Thank you for letting me know it is truly a Kalanchoe plant.  It sounds like a keeper for sure but is poisonous to cats.  Fortunately Abby is not a plant kitty.... Thank you my blogging friends.

Looks like a Christmas Cactus. I had two in CA. One was red and one was pink.

Very pretty

Judi: Merry Christmas from the lakeside. Looks like a kalanchoe plant to me.

Think it is a kalanchoe; needs lots of indirect sun. I could never grow them, but love their little flowers.

I am trying to remember what it is called, if I can... I'll be back:) In the meantime, it is beautiful! I love a gift that keeps on giving! Have a blessed day dear Judi, HUGS!

Looks like the answer has been given in the comments:)

I love the mystery plant. I'm glad someone knew what it was. Maybe it is like a violet and keeps blooming after you pinch off the dead flowers. It seems to love your home. Smile. Who wouldn't?

I am all ready for Christmas and this is so unlike me. I am usually running the roads at the last minute. I feel so relaxed. I have spent most of today listening to Christmas music. Nice. Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt is playing right now. I haven't heard that in ages.

Merry Christmas Judi.
Blessings to you and yours,
Jeanne

I see I was too late to ID your plant. Specifiacally it is called a KALANCHOE BOSSFELDIANA. They are so beautiful when in bloom! I have one on my front porch right now that just started to bloom...yellow flowers! If you can keep it in partial shade and take it in during winters, you will have it for many years. They like water more than most succulents, but one to two times a week should be enough. Of course it is much drier up there, so you might want to consult with the local gardeners in your area!

Have a wonderful Christmas weekend, Judi!!!
