Vintage Pillowsham Apron - Ready for Giving

I love vintage pillowcases and pillow shams. I make pillowcase dresses for Madeline and they are so cute.

Today we celebrated my mother's 82nd birthday. As part of the present we gave her I made a vintage pillow sham apron.  She had seen one I'd made for a girlfriend of mine and said she would love one too.

This is the sham it started out as...

A bit of cutting....

Sewing and ironing....

and Voila a pretty little apron.

These particular colours and types of flowers are so like my mother. I know she'll like it.
This is a picture of us celebrating Mother's Day in the spring...

Happy Birthday Mom. Love you..... Judi xoxo

That is a great way to repurpose a pillow sham. Especially one with a ruffle! Turned out great. Happy Birthday to your Mom!!
