Mother's Day Lunch and Sewing Project...

I hope you all had a beautiful Mother's Day on Sunday.  Whether you are a mother or whether it was a special time with your mother.
I woke up to lovely sunshine and everything looked so bright and happy....finally the days of rain were subsiding...at least for Mother's Day.  My mother and I were spending the afteroon together.  She was taking me out for lunch and I was taking her out.

My mother loves flowers, and in particular roses, so on Saturday I made a cushion for her livingroom

It goes with the placements I quilted for her for Christmas.   They each had a different rose panel in them.
I drove to pick her up and we sat in her backyard enjoying "healthy" appetizers she'd made, chocolate covered strawberries, sliced fruit and cheese and a cool drink.  We had late lunch reservations at the Mandarin Restaurant, a chinese buffet with very delicious food. We had a very nice afternoon together.

I hope you had a wonderful day... Judi xoxo
