Autumn Dishes and Accessories

Marc and I love cooking together and trying new foods we've been served or seen someplace. This time of year we look forward to cooking with squash and zucchini and other fall type veggies. Heartier meals come to mind.

Before I go on this is a sunflower I snapped a picture of while we were out galavanting. Next year I hope I remember to plant some at the cottage. Maybe you will remind me?

On Saturday we reinvented a breakfast we'd had at Bob Evans Restaurant some time ago. We made it with Bob Evan's sausage, peppers, tomatoes, home fries, eggs, shredded cheese. Let me say it turned out soooo delish. I know we'll make it again next weekend because we'll HAVE to try the new dishes. I'll share those pics with you then.
Which brings me to this post. WHILE we were at Wegmans looking for the au gratin dishes I found this lovely display of autumn dishes and accessories.

Don't you love them? They would make a beautiful tablescape with some Indian corn and I'd like some fabric napkins to match....a pumpkin...mustard coloured candles or this complementary green colour....or a chocolate brown...or pumpkin?

I like this placement setting with the mosaic design...

You could serve up some nice sharp cheese and crusty bread, or cheese and crackers on this oval plate.

We used to pick wild grapes that grew in vines along the side of the road. They were really small but oh my we made some lovely juice with them. It was very concentrated so we used to mix it with water or with gingerale. It would be so delicious served out of this pitcher.

I really would have liked to have bought myself one of these lovely dishes but I refrained myself this time. At least I could take them home this way and share with you.

Hope you are having a great day today.... Judi xoxo

I love sunflowers. When we were in Italy, we were amazed to see miles and miles of beautiful sunflowers following the sun.

OMG Judi: That is the most beautiful set of dishes. They are just gorgeous. I love sunflowers, as they are just so clean and fresh and country. That is me, country girl in a big city. Thanks so much for sharing. My DIL would love the mosiac as her kitchen is done in wine bottles. How beautiful are those. Have a wonderful day sweetie. Please stop by and say hi. I would so love to have you visit. Country hugs, Sherry
