Redesigned Chandalier for Madeline

This summer I started working on a chandalier for Madeline's room.  While thrifting I found a black iron 5-arm chandalier that I spray painted white.  I purchased 5 little shades online and covered them with pink dotted fabric. I made some fimo clay butterflies and flowers and a caterpillar and then... decided I didn't like it all that much after all.  It lay unfinished for a few weeks.

and then I found a pretty butterfly teapot set while thrifting and started drilling...

It fit perfectly in the centre of the chandalier.

I tore off the fabric from the shades and glued on a new more plain but pretty pink shade fabric and glued on a pretty little flower on each.

Now it is what I was hoping for.
Its hard to get the whole impact of its prettiness unless it is held up and I just couldn't hold and snap at the same time.
I may make a Fimo butterfly and hang it from the bottom with pink glass beads.

Madeline was over this evening and thought it was adorable.  After Geoff paints her room he'll take it home and hang it up.  I can't wait to see it up.

I really am pleased with how this project came together in its makeover....Judi xoxo

Oh, how cute!, Judi. I would love to see those dangling beads off the bottom of the lampshades, also. You did a beautiful job recreating.

May God continue to help us all heal & bless the souls once again.

God Bless America, may she stand FREE forever.
