Our Days Are So Unknown.....

I feel badly today. It truly is unbelieveable how fragile our lives are. Here one moment happy as pie and then gone. Gone.

Three weeks ago my mom was ending her vacation in Florida having had a great time with other Finnish snowbirds from Ontario. In particular with a close couple she sees here and in Florida. The husband was in his early 70s with a successful business, a lovely home and cottage here in Ontario, a new home in Florida, many friends and good times. He was full of life and happiness.

He climbed a ladder to inspect a certain type of roof he produces, the ladder slipped and he fell on his head. He never regained consciousness with massive injuries and passed away in hospital in Florida last night after midnight. Gone....

We can never imagine what we'll meet up with at the end of our day. More and more I am reminded how precious life is. We may think we have a plan.....

My thoughts are with his wife, the family and friends....love and blessings for my own family and friends...and all best for my blogging friends.. Judi xoxo

So sad to read Judi. You are so very right about you just never know. We had an experience in our family last year that shook us to the core. As Christians we do know that God is in charge and does have a plan, but some days are very hard to understand, aren't they? I'm sorry for those close to the gentleman you spoke of.

Oh, Judi, I'm so sorry to hear this about your friend. You're so right - we never know when our life might end. It's so important we're ready for eternity. Sending prayers to this family and your little mother. I know her heart is breaking about her friend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Oh Judi how sad for your Mom and his wife. It is so true how precious life is. I often wonder how some can walk away from a plane crash or a tornado or a fall and others don't. Life is very short. We have to enjoy what time we have. Hugs to you and your family.

Oh, I am so sorry he died. Please give your Mom my condolences! It is always so shocking! We also had a family friend who fell off a ladder, and died the same way...so instantly and it is such a shock. You never get to see them again...just terrible.

Judi, I'm so sorry to read of this. Life can change so quickly, and I think that is why my last blog post was like that. One family member I was with is terminal and it was a very hard goodbye.

I totally agree with Shelia's comments. Sympathy to you and yours.
