Queen's Bread Pudding Recipe

I have loved bread pudding before ever even trying it I think. It has been one of th0se desserts. I've only made or eaten it elsewhere a few times and I always love it.

Last week I baked one for Marc and I. Do you watch the Food Channel? I like watching Robert Irvine and his challenges and this is his recipe Queen's Bread Pudding with Fruit Soup . I knew it HAD to be a good one and it was.

It went into the oven like this....

and came out looking like this...

His recipe calls for using danishes and donuts. I had some sweet Italian bread with raisins in it and found reduced glazed donuts at the grocery store as well.

It is soooo good. We loved it. Over that weekend we ate it warm, cool and then warmed up in the microwave and it was so yum each time. I didn't use blackberries or peaches in the fruit soup just strawberries, raspberries and banana. I didn't have apricots either but it was still yum.

Do you like bread pudding? Do you have a favourite recipe?
Have a sweet day... Judi xoxo

I am sort of like you.. I loved the idea of bread pudding but what was it? The first bread pudding I ever made (without tasting) was made using Paula Dean's recipe using Krispi Kreme Doughnuts. You heard me right! Maybe you are familiar with it. But I had tons of leftover hamburger buns from a church project so I just used the basics from her recipe. I had tons of people tell me how it was the best they had eaten.
But I really like the looks of yours. I'll keep this for trying soon.
Thanks!

Thanks for visiting today. I jumped over to read your post and voila it's about bread pudding. I have NEVER made it. I never was sure how. I have heard my hubby talk about it. His mom cooked for a camp they worked and lived at in Michigan when he was young. SHE made bread pudding. She of course is an AWESOME cook. I never even tried to match her skills. In fact hubby is a better cook than me. Now he is the one I should get to try the recipe. Thanks for the yummy recipes... :-)

Bread pudding is my favorite dessert. Every time I go out to a restaurant that serves it, I choose it over anything else. I live alone and would like to know how to scale down the recipe for at least two people. I love your site. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Judi
Your bread pudding looks delicious. We call it Bread and Butter Pudding over here! My MIL makes a lovely one but I have never made it myself.
I see you have a weather pixie too. Yours looks far more trendy than mine. My one seems to wear her dressing gown/bathrobe the whole day and that's definately not me! Our temperatures are virtually the same too. We have more snow on the way. Urrrrgghhhhh!!
