Mother-in-Laws Table

A few years ago my mother-in-law moved into a nursing home and my eldest son Geoff was given this lovely table of hers. She always had it at one side of sofa in her livingroom. At the time Geoff thought that I would enjoy the table more and should keep it for him and he would take it back another time.

Its a very interesting table and is on little wheels. It has sort of hinges for lack of what to call them at the sides. That allows the bottom shelf to be pushed towards the back

and then slide up to create a wider table like this. This picture is a side view.

I'm so pleased to have this table and happy that my son was offered it because his father would have sold it had he been there. Both my boys are so happy it will stay in our family. Does anyone know anything more about this table? Why it would have wheels etc and what it might be called if it has a name?

Have a lovely day.... Judi xoxo

It's lovely, and that's all I know.

Yep, I plan to keep blogging. In fact, I'll have so many new things to show and tell.

Other than it being some sort of drop-leaf table, I think a mother-in-law table is a good name for it ;-)

I know nothing about the table other than I really like it!

I have to agree with Heidi Pocketbook. A "mother in law" table is the perfect name :0)

Hi Judi! What a lovely table. I don't have a clue as to what kind of table it is or why it does what it does!
No, I don't think I'll have a collage of Divas on my bathroom walls. LOL I'll just keep them on my puter!
Be a sweetie,

What a neat little table! Small peices (and large) can give us such joy! Glad you got to keep the table in the family!

I've never seen anything like that before. I think part of its charm is the uniqueness!
