Orange festival in the Netherlands????

Happy Friday!

I received an email forwarded to me with these neat pictures. The title and small blurb said they were from an orange festival in Netherlands. Before sharing them with you I thought I would google and learn more and then share THAT with you too.

Well....someone had posted how they weren't from the Netherlands because the Netherlands doesn't have mountains or.... palm trees. I took a better look at the pictures and that made sense to me! But maybe the palm trees were just a decoration...but the mountains? They also said that it was France that has orange sculptures but I couldn't find anything about the festival!

So I don't know where this festival might have been...do you? The pictures are very neat and I hope you enjoy them. Let me know if you know something more about them.

Have a wonderful day today... Judi xoxo

Well then, maybe it's a float at Disneyland in California. Oranges, mountains and palm trees ;)

I have no idea but I LOVE the pictures!!♥

To answer your question about Midnight.....YES, she is still a wild little kitten. The spay and de-claw only slowed her down for a few days! She is up and on and into everything!

Hi, Judi! Your new site is gorgeous and your bird tassels are gob-smacking gorgeously DELIGHTFUL!

Don't know where that orange festival is, but what a wonderful sight -- would love to see something like that in person. Made me happy and warm just looking at the photos.

Yes, I've been up to my eyeballs in work. Not complaining! Had more than two doz window orders come in during the couple weeks after Christmas and have been catching up. I see light at the end of the tunnel and hope to post again soon!

Hi and thank you for your visit. About the orange festival. I suppose somebody heard about orange and that is our national colour. On the other hand I seem to have heard something about Holland in Florida. I must ask around. We definitely don't have mountains but we do have orange

Actually, I do know for sure where these photos are from and the original blog poster who shows the photos and says it's in The Netherlands is mistaken! There is a festival in Amsterdam called Koninginnedag to celebrate the queens birthday and they do wear the color orange but they don't create these lovely citrus sculptures. And, trust me, there aren't any mountains like that near Amsterdam. BUT. . . there is the most beautiful town in the South of France called Menton and every year in February they have a lemon festival. They do make sculptures out of citrus fruit and I can only imagine the wonderful smell. I've stayed in Menton in the summer and the mountains are huge, the palm trees are abundant and I recognize the buildings. Now. . . if I could just go there some time in February!
