Happy 5th Birthday Madeline

Happy Birthday to my little granddaughter Madeline!!

Today she is 5 years old. She is just a little delight and brings such wonderful joy to me and the family. Madeline is such a sweet considerate little one already very sensitive to people's feelings. She's always been that way. She is one to say "I don't want to hurt your feelings....but I don't prefer cooked carrots". She is so much like her father. I love watching them together.

Today she will have a swimming party at her nana's with her little friends. I had wanted to see her for her birthday (we'll get together for a little family one as well). Things are a little "skeltered" around here right now. Is skeltered a word? Maybe not but it sounds like a good word. Geoff called me while I was at the mall last night and we decided to have a last minute pre-birthday dinner celebration. We went to a place called "Crabby Joes".

It was a beautifully special time. Our dinner was lovely and the whole couple of hours there were a delight. Madeline opened her gifts from me and she was just so very sweet. I used my digital and took a couple of precious videos as well of her and her dad. Geoff is dressed very casual vacation style because he is on vacation and this was last minute.

She watched in bewilderment as they sang Happy Birthday to her and brought her a sundae with a candle. This was the first time she'd seen this and she didn't quite know what to think about it. When they were finished she asked us whey they did that? She said she was rather "annoyed" with them. I think she was actually feeling a slight bit embarrassed. You know how we get?

Five years ago Geoff gave me a beautiful present....and that present becomes more delightful with each passing year. I love you Madeline...and Geoff...

I hope you have a lovely day..... Judi xoxo

Hi Judi and a very happy birthday to little Madaline! She's adorable and sounds so mature for such a young one! Your son is a very handsome young man, too! Waa I still don't have any grandkids. But I keep on hoping! It's so nice to see your face Judi! You look as happy as a pine knot, as my Daddy used to say! :)
be a sweetie,

What a lovely day. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with your family. And yes, skeltered is a word and it sure fits my life right now.

What a sweet 5 year old granddughter!!! Madaline is adorable...love her cute little nose! Looked like a grand dinner there at Crabby Joes! Is that where the wait staff stops every hour or so and dances to music, and they turn on all these party lights and a disco ball??? I believe we ate at one in Orlando once!

Oh, Judy! Happy Birthday to that precious Madaline! She is adorable. My dad's birthday was the 11th. He would have been 100 years old! It's hard to believe. And today is Cecelia's, my little namesake (her middle name is Elizabeth like mine) and god daughter. So I am with you on enjoying the company of tiny girls. Thank heavens for them, and your post is so wonderfully heartfelt. She's lucky to have a sweet grandmother like YOU!

XO,

Sheila :-)
