WINNER of 1 Dozen Decorated Sugar Cookies - GIVEAWAY

Well I was on my own doing this Draw and I didn't have anyone to share my excitement with.  I had 14 names for the Draw.  I printed the names at work because I'm out of ink at home.

I numbered each one then saw I had 3 more names from another post to add.
I had to squeeze them by date and time and fixed up the original numbers I had.
I cut them, folded them and put them into my bean pot.  That seemed like a good place to draw from.  I tossed them around in the pot and while they settled.
I entered the numbers the lucky number generator was going to draw from.
The lucky number it chose was "12" ... guess who it was?

go on down....

keep going....

Beverly from "How Sweet The Sound" was the winner!!!  Congratulations!  Email me your address Beverly to  judicreations@yahoo.ca.  You liked cupcakes best so next week I'll be baking for an order and I'll be sure to bake cupcake cookies for you. They will go into the mail next weekend. Your favourite colour?

I wish I could have sent everyone a cookie!  But I just couldn't...
Have a great evening... Judi xoxo

Happy Memorial Day....A Cottage Weekend...

****There are only a couple of days left before my Decorated Sugar Cookies GIVEAWAY....Take a look at my post on May 20th.  Visit my Etsy Shop and come back and tell me what your favourite cookies are..  The Draw will be this Wednesday.  Good Luck!!

Happy Memorial Day to all my American Friends....
We had a restful weekend at the cottage this weekend but we managed to work around the cottage and I did some planting.

I planted containers on the deck...
Our  new hydrangea was like this last weekend
but look at it one week later.

The herbs were planted in the wheelbarrow.
This is the 2nd summer for this hydrangea and I was so excited to see how nicely it has grown and it has flowers!

The shop window box is planted....
but I forgot to take pictures of the flower garden around the shop.   The wind chime is once again hung in its usual place by the deck....
This is the new hanging plant by the front door....
and isn't this a lovely display of hanging flowers next door at Bob and Georgias?
Although the weather wasn't as warm as they said it was going to be (except for today) it was great for some people who braved the coolness and the cold waters to jet ski and travel on their flat boat.
Marc made spaghetti....
and bread.....

and it was lovely.  I didn't want to leave this morning.  But I'm back and baking an order of decorated sugar cookies for a baby shower.

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.... Judi xoxo

Prickly Pear Cactus Paws - What a Fun Giveaway I Won

I won a Giveaway from my dear friend Julie from A Succulent Life! I was so excited to have won a new cookbook "The Prickly Pear". Well....it didn't occur to me for some reason and perhaps because we don't have such goodies as prickly pears in our neighbourhood that it was actually a "prickly pear" recipe book!

It arrived at our US address at the cottage and Marc was bringing it to me on Friday night. Marc had to open the package ahead of time so he could take it across the border to Canada. Inside black and white tissue was the recipe book.....

and carefully tucked inside newspaper I found...

real "live" prickly pears....

Now Marc was afraid he might not be able to bring them into Canada.....but he thought whats the worst they could do?....when he crossed he said he was bringing over something else and...cactus leaves. The border guy didn't twitch at all...*s*...and I got my prickly pears!

There was also a package of guava jelly waffers which were very interesting and Marc and I enjoyed some with our coffee...

So so far I've looked through the recipe book....and looked through the prickly pears....
found a recipe for Prickly Pear Biscuits and I grated a cup of prickly pear paws....and added some canned chilies and green onion....and an egg and flour etc...

mixed it up....

dropped them onto a greased cookie sheet to bake....

20 minutes later....mmmmmmm they smelled yummy....

looked yummy and WERE sooo yummy...truly....

This giveaway was so much fun! It was something I would never have been able to experience had I not won. Julie writes about her succulents and what she herself does with her prickly pear paws that grow out in her garden in Florida.

She wrote to me today that I could put one of the paws into earth and it would root for me...doing it!! She said she has ordered some prickly pear syrup for me as well. She KNOWS both Marc and I love to try new foods. Thank you so much Julie. I truly enjoyed this giveaway and I STILL have prickly pear paws to make more goodies.

Have you had prickly pear cactus your way?

Enjoy... Judi xoxo

Giveaway and Labour Day In The Wind

Labour Day at the cottage wasn't very BLUE for a change. The temperature was in the low 60s. The BLUE in the skies wasn't very friendly and the lake was rolling and looking ugly..

.

Marc had to fix the windsock because all the winds had it knotted and tangled every which way. We were thinking it might have been some aftermath of Earl......

There thats better....

As the day passed the winds settled, BLUE skies appeared and the water became more quiet. Even the windsock hung and fishing boats could be seen. They fish for salmon.

I hope your Labour Day was a nice one...
Tomorrow I'm going to start posting about my 300th Giveaway Post.....

Stop by and find out more...

A Giveaway! Good Luck....

Abby and I decided we should have a little February Giveaway. A couple of days ago I came across these pretty black and white padded hangers and picked them up.

I also loved the pattern and colours of this list keeper. You can open it up and start all kinds of lists like what inspires you, what treats you would like to give yourself, your favourite places to travel to...OR it really would work as a lovely grocery list! I'll also tuck in one of my handmade soaps.

Leave a message on this Post so I don't miss your name. Its on the Sidebar also. If you are a Follower or become one please let me know so I can put your name in a 2nd time, and if you go to someone's blog and say "Psssst Judi at Cranberry Blossom is having a Giveaway...stop over there" and you let me know then I'll enter your name a 3rd time.
The Draw will be on Sunday, February 7th. Marc will draw the winning name over breakfast and I'll post it later that day. Good Luck.
Oh and if you couldn't see what clue I was talking about that personalizes Molly's mosaic tray I made and posted about yesterday I said I'd tell you today. Well if you look closely you may see the martini glass in the glass tiles. Penny saw it and so did Phoebe. :o)
Have a very lucky day today... Judi xoxo

Thank You for Giveaways I Won!!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I haven't had a chance to post for a few days although I have had a chance to visit some blogs. Today I wanted to share a couple of giveaways I have won.

First I won the book "Never Surrender" which was a Giveaway from Sally from SmilingSally a bit ago. I haven't had the book at home to take a picture of so apart from thanking Sally I haven't posted on it yet. Thank you sooo much for my book Sally. It is a book that Sally's hubby Johnny read and couldn't put down. I am looking forward to reading it also. An avid reading friend is reading it before me so I am not ready to share more about it with you. I was very excited to receive it.

As well, Diane from A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words recently had a giveaway and I won!! It was mailed to Marc's address for me and he brought it this weekend. It would have been perfect for a PINK Saturday posting but I didn't have it ready for this Saturday and I didn't want to wait a whole week.

Diane bought one for herself and showed it on her PINK Saturday a few weeks ago. She purchased another one for a giveaway. I was the lucky winner!!! This is making me want the arrival of spring quickly. Aren't they great! They are so sturdy and they are pink and they have the nicest coating grip on them. I've never had colourful garden tools before and pretty pink ones too. Isn't that great digger..... THANK YOU so much Diane.

Don't forget to enter my Giveaway. See my Sidebar for more details about the original post.

Have a lovely day... Judi xoxo

Housewarming Giveaway!!

I've been at my new home at Blogspot for a couple of weeks now and I'm happy my lovely circle of friends have found me here.

So Abby and I think that a little housewarming giveaway should be in order. It will mostly likely be one item and it'll be something I've made. You'll have to wait to find out it is and I will have to wait and decide what it is. Sounds like a surprise.... ;o)

Just leave us a comment from now until next Tuesday, February 24th at midnight (my time) and I'll count one comment per person. I will most likely use a random generator and announce a winner on Wednesday early evening! Good Luck! Oh and be sure I have a way to find you if you are the winner.

Have a very lovely day... Judi xoxo
