interesting shops we went in and out of....
Its a nice area of quaint little stores....
We found Hillside Bakery and Delicatessen which is where we were planning on having lunch. We had heard of it but never been before. We enjoyed a yummy sandwich made with their freshly baked buns, had a salad and a delicious pastry for dessert. We did a little shopping in there also.
After lunch we went into one more shop. Oh my I loved that place. They had repurposed items and distressed furniture, shabby chic and items made by local artisans.
The lady in the shop was so pleasant. We could hardly shop she was so bubbly. She recognized Marc's slight "American" accent and she was full of questions....
As you can imagine I got so many new ideas for projects of my own...
Marc was so good to follow me around there. Its not exactly every man's favourite spot.... :o)
I loved this mirror and there I am right in it....
It was almost a perfectly lovely afternoon...."almost". We got to our car and found a pretty "yellow" ticket on the windshield. We had put our money into the parking meter and then walked away. Seems we apparently forgot to take the parking pass and put it in our window. That will teach us to have so much fun and not pay attention. That yellow ticket increased the price of our lunch by....$30.00. Dumb eh? We don't park in areas like that often and thats our excuse and we're sticking to it.

Otherwise it was a great day. Since then we've had rain each day and its only in the mid 40s. I hope your weekend was fun and you were more careful with your money......Judi xoxo

Don't feel too bad! You still had a lovely day! There is 2 hr. parking in front of my kids orthodonist..I once got a ticket for being over by 8 minutes!
Glad you enjoyed your day and lunch although it cost $30 PLUS!
Oh Judi, what a lovely day with your sweet husband! UGH to the officer who gave you all the ticket:( Can't they get a job? Oh yes, I guess that is their job:) Anyway, looks like you guys enjoyed a wonderful day together! My Husband usually stands on the sidewalk while I go in and out of the shops! I just can't get him interested! Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
