Flying to Miami Beach....mini vacation for me...

I have so admired everyone's hydrangeas and commented how I really would love to have one at the cottage also. Well I finally did get one 2 weeks ago. It is a blue one (or so the tag said)but it didn't have one flower on it. It has sprouted more leaves since I planted it...now I'll wait until it blooms. How long do you think before it starts to bloom? Next year? I hope so.....

I'm starting my third and last week of this bout of vacation this week. Normally I am here at the lake for the whole first week in August. Marc had another Miami trip for work scheduled today so I've flown with him. We'll be staying in South Beach in Miami Beach.

Marc will have to work for 2 of the 4 days and I'll galavant and explore on my own...relax and sun and swim during the day and we'll have our evenings together. Apparently there is lots of window shopping I can do right in that area...but maybe I'll just find something to bring home too. I've not been there before and looking forward.

I hope you have a wonderful week too.... Judi xoxo

Hope you have fun in Miami. Yes bring something home ;) Your hydrangae might not flower this year and if you want it to stay blue you have to add aluminum to the soil. I have not looked into this but I have a blue one that my dear friend gave me before she passed and I planted it in April it did blume a blue flower but I am pretty sure I have to get some of that aluminum for next year.
Have fun

I have one hydrangea.. it started small like your's , I can't remember how long I have had it, but it gives me many blooms now. I am planning on buying more of them and putting them near our front door. I hope your blue one is blooming next year for you.
Blessings~
