This summer has certainly been the topic of discussion weather wise. Our weather in August should now be seeing more of the cooler stuff as we move along but so far its getting hotter. So for all of you who have had enough of the summer heat hang on we're just getting there.
A few weeks ago I posted that I had sewn 2 summery skirts. The pattern has 6 different versions and they are so quick and easy. Its all up to the fabric you choose. Here are finally some pictures I took.
This one has a geometrical designs in green, black and white and is a mid leg length. The fabric is nice and light and flowing. I wear it with this multi coloured shell and silver necklace I made.
The pink "floral" skirt is a longer version. The fabric reminds me of growing flowers...happy flowers. I was surprised how limited I am with tops to wear with it though. It has different pink colours and if I wear a pink top with it it has to be one of the skirt colours otherwise it just doesn't look like it belongs. So far I haven't found that right pink. I can wear black t-shirts and tops because the flowers are outlined in black. It is a nice soft wispy fabric also.
I'll show you the pale blue dress I'm making once its complete in another post ;o) . I'm not enthusiastic about finishing it because I don't like the washed out colour but it is almost complete. It didn't look quite that way in Fabricland.
Do you have a special pattern that you like to sew? Something that is nice and quick and easy? Maybe something more complicated? I'd love to see it.
Hope you are having a great day..... Judi xoxo

Judi your skirts are terrific. Yes seems like summer is here hot hot hot here today. Have a great weekend.
I used to sew a good bit, but I no longer do. You sure are doing a beautiful job of creating a wardrobe!
That pink skirt could go with a maroon top, I think.
They are sooo pretty! Nice job!
I don't sew at all so I LOVE your summery skirts you have made. So CUTE!!
Hi Judi! Love your skirts you've made. You're very good. Hope you find the right pink for that cute pink flowered skirt. You know, I used to sew so many clothes for myself. I don't now, but still sew. I enjoy making things for my home - pillows, curtains, things like that. I'm out traveling but wanted to say hi!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I love your skirts Judi. Our weather has been weird this summer too. One week it's hot and humid and the next week cool and rainy.
That looks like a great skirt pattern! Love it. I wrote down the number so I can check it out for myself. I have to see if it comes in my size. I am kind of hippy so I have to make sure it is big enough.
