A Giveaway

There are so many wonderful blogging friends here with whom we share so much. We've gotten to know so much about each other and some of you have even met in person. I eagerly look forward to reading how your day is going and what new things you have to post about. I've learned so much from you all and truly treasure the friendships. That all seemed reason enough to have a Giveaway I was certain of that.

I'm not entirely sure what the winner will receive but I'm sure it will be something I've made. So that you'll all have time to leave me a comment I'll close the Draw on Monday, June 15th at midnight and draw a name on Tuesday, June 16th early evening. How does that sound?

Now all I ask you is to tell me "what blogging means/has meant to you". Please only leave your comment on this post so I don't miss your name. I'll slip your name in the pot....or basket...or something pretty. :o)

Well thats not all I ask you, the other thing I need to know from someone is how do I add a sidebar about this Draw. So that its visible all the time and you can click on it to come back to this Post? I know so many of you are doing it but I need Help!

On that note as I get ready to go to bed I'll share a very favourite position Abby has as she "keeps me company" while I blog. Its a hard life....

I hope you have a wonderful day.... Judi xoxo

At first blogging was meant to be a log of things I wanted to remember from one year to the next. But I soon discovered what blogging really means-----Friends. Friends from all over the place. I love reading about everyone's life and adventures. Blogging has opened a whole new dimension of life to me.

That Abby, she is so adorable!

Morning Judi,

I can't help you with the sidebar thing but mine is basically the same as Marilyn's. I really don't know what I expected when I started blogging. Just tidbits here and there about Lexi and anything else I could think of, mostly for my and my hubby's family to keep up with us. It has turned in to so much more with all of the on-line friendships I have made. Now I can't imagine NOT blogging!

Abby lucked out when she came to live with you!! She is just gorgeous!

I just love all of the fabulous people I've met through blogging! I also think that it is challenging... I wouldn't have created, pondered, or learned a fourth of it what I have without it:) Thank you for your giveaway generosity!

Do enter me in your giveaway. What fun! Blogging has been a great way to meet new people and to see through pictures their area of the world. Always learning something new. I have friends I never thought I would have.

For your sidebar thing. Go to layout. Then click on add a gadget.
Then add picture or image.
There is also a place to add an url so that when people click on the picture it will take them to the post you want. In this case it would the the url for this post. Do a copy and paste for the url.
Be sure you don't have the http:// part twice. Sometimes that part is there already when you want to add the url, and when you do copy and paste you are already picking up that part of the address.

Hope that helps.

LOL I've had dogs who sleep in that position, but I've never seen a cat do that.

I began blogging to keep a journal/diary for my grandchildren to look back on and remember me, but it's changed. Now, blogging means an ongoing education as I learn about different places and customs from new-found friends. I'm continually amazed at how many folks I count as friends.

I do hope I win and that it's a tassel!

Now, about the sidebar. Go to "Customize" then "Add a Gadget" then choose "Picture" and click on it. Make any title you'd like. The caption will show up on the bottom. Where it says, "link" put in the perma link for today's post. Put the image you want from your desktop. If it's not already there, drag it there. Hit "save" and you're done!

I am laughing at your comment about bouncing in your chair to my music! You are so funny. That song does that to you doesn't it. You are a blessing to me and I am so glad we met.

Thanks to blogging I have you in my life. Let's CELEBRATE!
Hugs

Blogging is such a fun way to meet wonderful people and to find wonderful ideas. To blog is to share; to blog is to care. When you make a "button" for your give-away, you load it in your Layout section (Add A Gadget). Right click on the title to this post, and when you add your picture to the layout, there is a box for you to click and copy the Shortcut to this post. I don't know if that is clear or not. Good luck. laurie

I started reading blogs...and met some wonderful people...and then decided to blog...so that I could share...and I never imagined I would meet and make so many new friends. Well....I see you figured out the sidebar thingy!

What an amazing photo of your upside-down doggy!!! LOL...hard life indeed!!!

I would love to be entered in your giveaway...sounds like fun! Especailly to win something MADE BY YOU, girl!!!

What blogging means to me? Well, I just simply cannot do without it anymore. I found out when I lost my wireless internet and went slightly crazy...having to lug my laptop to Panera Bread to say hello to you all. I can't describe what being able to just stay in touch with all of the dear people who have similar interests means to me...it is really priceless! So many times I wonder what it would be like to live in a colony of all my blogger pals...what amazing fun we could have. Of course, none of us would have to work...we would just create and travel. Whoa!!!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

xoxo- Julie

I started my blog as a place to jot down memories and journal. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of people who seem to enjoy reading it and the friends I have made.

A giveaway sounds fun! I would love to be entered, and thrilled if I won!

I actually have a post-in progress about this very topic! I don't want to give it all away, but here's a bit.

It started out as being a way to connect for my business, but ended up as something completely different. I know there are many others who have had similar experiences!

ps
your kitty is totally kissable, I'd love to squish her a little bit and bury my face in her fur!

Hi Judi! What blogging means to me...going to a very special place most every day and that place holds the most precious people who are a part of my life! I haven't looked into their eyes, or hugged them or heard their voices, but all my blogging friends hold a dear place in my heart! I really didn't have a reason to start a blog - I had been lurking for about a year and already felt as if I knew so many in Blogland! Blogging is a blessing to me!

Now please add my tiny name to your give away list!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
