Barbara and Oprah and Kris Allen

Congratulations to Kris Allen!! The new American Idol. I thought he would win but I was still so a great way! good for him. I'm sure Laurie will have more posting to do sharing in the excitement in Arkansas!

For those of you who watched American Idol did you love it and were you so fully entertained by all the talent as I was! I can only imagine the utter thrill they had singing with the celebraties like Danny singing 3 songs with Lionel Ritchie, and Kiss was there and Rod Stewart...fabulous!

UPDATE - I can now post Barbara's blogspot :

Its so exciting and I wanted to share with you that tomorrow, Thursday a friend of mine will be on Oprah on "Where the Skype are you?" Barbara is a faculty where I work and she paints. She paints portraits, still of her cat...her family. She has a lovely blog where she shares her paintings and her stories faithfully every day. When Barb paints a commissioned portrait she has the subject(s) sit for her while she paints. She shares her connection with that person and being an english teacher she writes in such a lovely, light hearted positive way.

Some weeks ago Oprah found out about her and she was contacted. Oprah wants her to sketch a picture of her and one of her puppies She had an interview a couple of weeks ago on Skype. If you watch Oprah you'll see her on Skype on Oprah! It will be aired at 4:00 p.m. my time which means because I'm off at 3:30 I'll be home in good time. Isn't that neat? Its so wonderful for Barb to be recognized in this way. I would be interested to know if you watch and see her! Way to go Barbara!

I wish I could watch, but we have an appointment then and won't be by a TV. Tell us about it, Judi.

How exciting!! I found some pineaple teryaki sauce but no orange ginger. I did find some lime ginger so I'm going to try that this week. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Judi, thank you for your visit on my blog today and your sweet comment.

I am happy for Kris Allen to win but I was surprised. Adam is already a star and will not be hurt by not winning. I love Idol and the great singing too.

How wonderful about your friend Barbara being commissioned to paint Oprah and her dog. We are on vacation and I think I will miss that show.

My posting and commenting is limited to if and when we have a connection while we are traveling. I hope to visit again soon.

Yes, Laurie was very excited about Kris Allen! Thanks for the mention. I am so late getting here, because I've had a busy week, so I missed your post about your friend on Oprah. I wouldn't have been able to watch though, because I work, but that is so exciting! I'm going to check out her blogspot. laurie

Hey Judi
Thanks once again for stopping by my blog.
To answer you question about the swap..I create the images I get from various places online and then I print them out and add to them. Either stamping or cutting and pasting other objects and then we exchange via mail. It has really been alot of fun for me.

I love to create collages but my favorite is ATC's.

Would love to have you join a swap sometime. I have them from time to time on my blog.

I am glad to see you watch dancing with the stars. One of my favorite shows. I am a former dancer and I enjoy watching these talented dancers. Cheryl is my favorite. I would love to have a body like hers . Oh the good old days when dancing was exercise and fun. I lost my dance partner when I divorced him and my husband now does not dance so I have not danced for years but I sure love it!

Thanks for visiting me Judi, I love it when I see yoru comments.
