Bird Pictures and a Kitty

Remember these 2 pictures I printed from online from GraphicsFairy and then I painted these thrifted wood frames to match?
Well I finally found a spot to put them tonight.  Well I finally CHANGED my mind and decided not to put them in my bedroom.
Now they go quite nicely with a picture I have over my sofa..

Abby watched me on the sofa while I hammered and rearranged and took pictures...with her....

and a few more...
and more...good night!
Have a great weekend.... Judi xoxo

Cool Weather Brings New Projects....

Do you have the same crafting enthusiasm in the summer?  Not me.  Mine leaves.  Gone.  All the extra time I have with vacation and the longer days but I'm just not in the mood.

Then at the end of summer back it comes and I just long to have more time.  Go figure.  Well I'm making Christmas products for my business and I'm working on presents too.

I finally started working on this sweet fleece.  I cut

and pinned....
then measured and cut strips and tied knots...
and it became a  cozy throw for snuggling.  The other side is a plain lighter colour...
Aren't the puppies sweet?
Adorable close up...
A snuggly Christmas present but I can't tell for who right now...

I have also spray painted 3 more drawers..I'm getting ready to make more clocks...
See here completed drawer  for Geoff or this one for Richard if you missed the original spring posts...

Sweet Abby gave back the yarn she was holding for me...
and I crocheted a flapper style hat..
here it sits over my phone...
but I am going to run a ribbon through it and add a felt flower.
When I'm all done I'll show it to you.  Hopefully it'll keep me warm once the cooooold weather comes.  It'll look nice with my new coat though I'm not much of a hat person.

Funny how the fall brings on the cool weather and projects are on the heat again....
Do you have new fall projects on the go?
Hope you have a great day... Judi xoxo

PINGPONG - Social Kitty of Rockledge

I'm back home from the cottage for a week's worth of work.  Fortunately I'm off next week so that helps a little bit.

Up the road from the cottage lives a wonderfully pretty cat named "PingPong".  I haven't asked how he got that name.  He walks Rockledge our cottage road happily hunting and exploring.  I hadn't seen him for a while but he started visiting our cottage again last week.

He obviously didn't know that we seem to live on our new deck so he came to the front door...
I love when he meows because his little mouth forms an "O".....
 he peeked in....
doesn't he have the sweetest face?
we called him over to the deck and I offered him a bit of sardines on crackers, our appetizers.  He thought that was a pretty good treat.
I really wanted to take him home....he's so good and gentle and loves affection.
cute eh?

Well....the next day we were INSIDE this time and he was smart.  He came to the deck and climbed onto a deck chair and looked in and meowed with that cute little mouthed "O" again.
then he went to the door at the deck and jumped on a little table....
and looked in the screen door of the deck and meowed again with those cute little "O" lips....
PingPong liked having his picture taken...unlike my Abby who always looks away....
then off he went to find a spot in the yard where he could watch all the goings on.  PingPong has such a cute character.

Abby was happy to see me....we were apart for 17 days and we missed each other...  :o)
Don't you hate leaving your little furbabies?   Judi xoxo

Newly Painted Bedroom - With a Little Help From Abby

I told you I painted my bedroom a couple of weeks ago and discovered that hey painting isn't as bad as I thought it was.

Well maybe Abby my "helper" helped take my mind off the tedious job it might have been? She was with me the whole time I painted, quite fascinated actually. She is funny because she's sensitive to certain scents. If I get up close to talk to her after brushing my teeth she makes a face and curls up her upper lip, or if I have just put on scented hand cream or perfume she does the same thing. Funny face and curls up her upper lip.

But she rather liked the smell of paint and kept taking whiffs of it. Silly girl.

When I moved the furniture she had to trapes in and out of every spot....

so curious....

between that and looking out the window at the snowflakes....

sitting up high on moved furniture looking outside at the snowflakes....

lying on whatever new things found their way on to the bed or out of place...

another spot to watch mama....

She did manage to look up at me from a piece of furniture that wasn't normally in that spot....

The bedroom is not large but I took some pictures anyway. I only get the morning sun in that room so in the afternoon it was darker. Now its so much brighter all day.

The taupe was a pretty enough colour but I needed a change. This is the contrast.

These are the pillow cases I made this winter....

The ceiling is about the colour the walls were before. It really looks dark in these pictures in contrast to the light colour of the walls now. When you actually stand in the room the ceiling is fine just the way it is.

This is the dresser I thrifted a couple of years ago. It has one drawer missing. Now that I've angled it to face the door I have a pretty piece of vintage lace I'm going to gather and hang inside that area just to cover it.

That is the freshly painted bedroom. What a difference a can or 2 of paint can make! I painted the washroom also but because it is small it was difficult to share the whole picture with you.
I hope you have a wonderfully fresh day.... Judi xoxo

Herb Gardens...Hemp Seed Oil Soaps...Vacation..

Into Week 2 of vacation and the weather has been lovely and I've been catching up on things at home where I am for a few days this week.

I've completed more One-Cup Teapot Herb Gardens and they are in my Pinkdaisies Etsy Shop. See, you can't see the bolt once the plant is planted. I was thinking they would be nice with some faux flowers as well.... I wish I could own a "Tea Room" shop and I could display my pretty teapots....

I made Hemp Seed with Goat's Milk Soap and they are in my Pinkdaisies Etsy Shop also. Hemp seed oil is very good for your skin as is goat's milk .

There are three lathering soaps Lavender,Rosemary, Mint, and Rose Vanilla, and Lemongrass...and a "Rose Heart" soap. I've embedded lavender, or rosebuds, or lemongrass and calendula in them. They have lovely properties for the skin as well as exfoliate and look pretty.

It started out raining this morning and it felt like a good cleaning morning...does it really ever feel like that kind of morning? cleaning?

Yes I think it really does with no help from Abby who has fur that doesn't fly with her when she flies around this place. I had better get to it because now I think the sun is trying to steal the show...
Besides perhaps snoozing what do rainy days make you feel like doing?... or not doing?...
Hope the weather is just what you would like it to be...enjoy it... Judi xoxo

Abby's in Control

Abby and I were watching TV one evening...then Abby got a bit sleepy and she decided to take over the controller while she snoozed.

This is her little sleepyness. She's such good company.... *s*..

I hope you don't have a sleepy day today.... Judi xoxo
