PINK Saturday - Apple Fritters

Beverly is hosting PINK Saturday. Be sure to check out her site and look at all the other PINK Saturday participants. Visit her here http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ I hope she's feeling better and recovering quickly....

A couple of weeks ago I made some apple fritters. You can find the recipe here. Instead of using powdered sugar I mixed white sugar with cinnamon and after frying the fritters I rolled them in that. I also did not put the apples into rings but rather smaller sized chunks.

I had some very yummy empire apples that I put into the batter...

fried very carefully in a large pot....

I let them sit on a plate with paper towels for a moment and then it was time for the sugar and cinnamon.... and served on my PINK 2-tier plate.

This is a before and after picture of the plate...

Its a very yummy recipe... Enjoy... Judi xoxo

Hi Judi,
Thanks for stopping by. You were wondering where I got the little white birdie? I got it at Michaels last year. They have little birds again this year, but they're a little different this time around; still cute though. Do you have a Michaels close by? Perhaps you should check one out. Have a nice week.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Judi! I painted that Texas table about 14 years ago and don't have a clue as what color it was. It was a very light cream color and then after it was good and dry I put a couple coats of polyurethane over it. At the time I didn't know there was a non yellowing kind. The kind I used was not! So through the years it has yellowed a bit.
