Thrifting Finds in Silver...

I have a new Love Bunny Tassel above that I had fun making tonight. It replaces my previous one that SOLD on My Etsy. Thank you....
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Last week when I found those Botanical dishes I also found some other things. It kind of makes me chuckle because of something that Sally said to me last summer when I discovered thrifting.
At that time I was slipping in and out of thrift shops and joyfully finding all kinds of great "treasures". What made me chuckle was that I, like all of us reveal how much we paid for our finds expressing how much we saved by these thrift purchases.

Sally commented something like with all this money I've saved I'll have enough to take a trip to Europe soon *lol*. I remember reading that....probably frowning a minute taking it in...and then "bursting" out into a big smile.

Remember I told you that it was 50% off at the Thrift store on Friday? Each of these items were reduced to $2.00. So I am sure I'll be on my way to Europe soon.. wo hoot!!

This tarnished candle and flower holder came out like the one below with a little elbow grease and a little help from "Twinkle". I treated myself to a bouquet of yellow cut mums. It was such a beautiful springy day and everyone seemed to be mentioning that in their blog. So it was all around.

I found the silver candleholders as well. They don't seem to be the tarnishing kind so thats a bonus. I have 2 different coloured candles here because they were on 2 different spots until I decided to bring them together for the picture.

The last item I bought was a lacey tablecloth. Another $2.00 buy. Yayyyy.

I should probably have named Abby the "Streak" because of the white streak she wears down her back at times. Its not there all the time...it depends on how she feels I think. Other times I feel like calling her "Ollie" because she's like an owl.

Have a lovely day..... Judi xoxo

Hi Judi,
That is great that you sold your sweet bunny tassel.
I went thrifting today and found lots of treasures, most for resell. I like to the look of the different colored candles. They look great together. I found some silver pieces today and they need a lot of Twinkle!!!

I go to thrift store and see junk; you go and find treasure. That centerpiece is my favorite. I love your bunny tassel and am not at all surprised that it sold.

I think my goal this summer will be to stop in some thrift shops. All of you thrifting ladies have such great finds. I want to join in on the fun.

Your candles look lovely and the flowers are beautiful. I feel the need for spring myself!

The tassel on your header is so very pretty. What a great job you did.

take care,
Dawn

Love that tablecloth! Our Mrs. Wilberforce's fur does the same thing as Abby's--we tell her she's the kitty with the silver lining!
