Go figure is about all I can say ....
Our winter weather usually is so l-o-n-g, cooold (brrr), and snowy. It can start in October sometimes and end somewhere in April sometimes. Those winter months can start later and end earlier though. It gets so that you just can't face ANOTHER day of scraping and brushing and lugging on boots, scarves, gloves...yuck! This year however has been very different. We haven't had much snow and we've had some lovely springlike days as well.
My mom lives an hour north of me and up until last winter has shovelled her own driveway. She just turned 80 in October for goodness sake. We can't help her with it because if its snowing there we can't get there. No one in her subdivision can help but periodically. This year she contracted a snow company from November to March to do her driveway. Well, they have only had to come 3 times so far never mind that last year she would shove 2-3 times a day. Go figure....
One day in early December when I came home I found a tire sitting beside my little Christmas. I didn't know what that was about. A message from Geoff told me there were 3 more on the balcony and Merry Christmas!! He had found the tires online. They were one season old and like new and he got them for a good deal he said. That was such a generous gift and he refused to discuss my paying for some of them.

When we FINALLY had some snow I was so happy to try them out and they made a world of difference. I felt safe! But now we have barely had any snow but we have had rain. Go figure....
If I had known it would only take my mother to pay for a contractor to shovel her driveway, and for me to finally get snow tires for the weather to change....we wouldn't have waited this long. Go figure....
