Happy Father's Day to 3 Special Fathers in My Life

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers today.....

I'm sure my blogging friends here are doing something special with their fathers or with their hubbies....

I think especially about my father today who isn't here with us. We love him greatly and think of him all the time.....some little incident will happen or someone will say something...and it makes me hesitate for a moment in thought and often times I'll smile at the trigger of the memory that will bring to me.

I feel that my father looks down at me just as he was doing here in this picture....love you dad...xox
Happy Father's Day to my eldest son Geoff.  He is a wonderful father to his daughter Madeline....love you....

and Happy Father's Day to my Marc....a good father to his daughter and son, and to his grandchildren Jack and Reed.  Happy Father's Day honey.... love you...

Hope this is a special day for you all... Judi xoxo

Forgot the Thingy and Can't Show You Anything...

Man!  Am I ever mad at ME!  Really and truly mad at me.
I left the cord to transfer pictures from my camera into computer....AT THE COTTAGE! *sigh*.  I could just spit!

I KNEW when I pulled it out of my computer bag this morning to tuck my computer in to take it home...that I would do that.  And I did.

We had such a lovely weekend.  Marc and I planted around the newly made beds around the deck and I wanted to show you.
So now I can only "speak" to you not show you anything.  After buying the plants and working outside most of the afternoon we were treated for Father's Day dinner by Janet, Marc's daughter.  She took us and her hubby, Ryan and his mom and step-dad and of course the little ones, Jack and Reed.  We sat outdoors at a nice restaurant beside a canal.  We watched the boats going by and the children loved waving to them.  They fed the ducks and geese that swam by.  It was simply lovely!

On Sunday Ryan took Marc golfing.  While they were playing 9 holes I worked again in the garden.  I surprised him with another flower garden that I dug up and planted in his absence.  There is a spot right beside the door to the kitchen that doesn't catch much sun.  The grass doesn't grow very well against the wall so I planted shade plants/flowers.  He liked it!

I'll show you pics next week.  Then you'll see what we've been doing outside.  It was such a nice weekend.  It was a bit warm at times but mostly more humid so we probably lost some weight between all the working out we did and what we sweated!  *crossing my fingers*.

I can show you this lovely bag with a little note on it....into which I temporarily slipped some lavender flowers from the garden a couple of weeks ago.  I can show you this picture but I'll share the story that goes along with it in another post.  Its fun.
Again, I did not want to come home.  :o(  I was there all day Saturday and Sunday and left this morning and had a 1/2 work day.  Yay!
Did you have a good weekend?  What did you do?
Hope you've had a good day today too...& you took pictures & were able to transfer them...

Happy Pink Saturday with Vanilla Lemon-Lemonade Cupcakes for Father's Day....

Today I'm connecting with Beverly at HowSweetTheSound for Pink Saturday.  Be sure to follow my link to her blog for more Pink participants.

I've been experimenting with recipes and found a delightful vanilla cupcake recipe that has lemon zest and lemonade. Hence it is a Vanilla Lemon-Lemonade cupcake. It requires extra mixing and buttermilk and carefully folding in stiff egg whites. To the buttercream frosting I added both lemon zest and pink lemonade so its lovely.
See how pretty in my covered cake stand....all the Pinkness...
The colour was slightly pink but I added some pink colouring nevertheless.
My peers at work are helpful, enthusiastic tasters and they agreed it was yummy so I'm keeping it.
I made wrappers from dollar store doilies and they add a sweet touch.
 I found the template here.

I made 2 dozen so I'll take some to the cottage and Marc and I can enjoy them over Father's Day as well.  They are PINK but  I couldn't make BLUE lemonade cupcakes.  I guess I could have chosen a different flavour...hmmmmm....but I so wanted to make these.  He'll like them no matter what colour.
Happy Father's Day to all father's out there....to my dear Son Geoff who is a fabulous daddy to Madeline...and to my Loving father who although it has been just over 5 years since he passed away I will think and remember dearly on Father's Day and to Marc a Happy Father's Day....
Have a beautiful weekend... Judi xoxo
