Vacation Fun Pictures to The Grand Canyon

As we continued through Utah on our vacation we visited Arches National Park and the Natural Bridges Park on our way to the Grand Canyon. The scenery was like this...

and like this...neat eh?...neat that it was actually only about 6" tall and I angled the camera just right and it grew..... *s*...

we were wayyyy too high to play around like this.......

hey I said it really was too scarey for us to do this....

h.e.l.p. me...see what can happen???

Doesn't this look neat? well...when Marc took this picture he told me I should have gone around and peeked through....

you see he was standing up and into the smaller area to the left of the bigger cavelike spot on the picture below...aiming his camera in there he created the above picture....

This was the decor in front of one of the hotels we stayed in in Utah..... I don't think flowers would have been difficult to grow right there....

now where did Marc think he was climing to?...

maybe to get away from the drive we had to get out of there....

at one point I said..."I am NOT going down there in this car"....

thats quite the downhill....it REALLY was....

see the narrow, 2-way gravel road?.... no barriers as we drove close to the edge....

curving back and forth all the way down.....

and our car was not a small one. I asked Marc to stop so I could get a good pic....

then we drove on to the Grand Canyon. It was a cool, breezy and overcasty kind of day. The only one we had all during the vacation. It was even spitting some rain here....

isn't it very GRAND?

some of the pictures turned out interesting with both cloud and sun shining over the huge mountains. A beautiful site. One of the lady's from my work hiked the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago with some friends. It took 12 hard hours to get down, then camped overnight and then climbed 10 hours back up.

Those are the pics I wanted to share of the beautiful driving we encountered on the trip. I don't know whether its even possible to share in pictures what it was really all about. One more day of Vegas to finish up the vacation....

I hope you have a beautiful day today.... Judi xoxo

Awesome photos once again, Judi! That highway was definitely not for the faint of heart but I'm sure it was well worth it to experience what you did :-)

I, how gorgeous!!! One of my dreams to get there one day!!! That one hotel with the old washer out front...how fun is that??? LOL. Those scary roads just make me terrified coming down them...gravel of all things too! It is just too scary for me...I suppose I have to drink 6 beers and be strapped in where I can't see out to do it anymore!!! Seriously!!!!! Hehehe.
