Guess Who I Met at South Beach??

We were in this strip of Restaurants enjoying dinner outdoors in South Beach last week Monday night.... now stay with the story...no cheating...
We were quite warm here already....my hair was flat and had lost control...

Dinner was very lovely and as we ate and talked we watched people passing by on the sidewalk. It was quite entertaining.....
look at this guy and the pet he wore around his neck....people were not getting too close to him as he walked by...

Then Marc said "isn't that - that Michael guy?"...."from American Idol". Sure enough it was Michael Lynche from this past season's American Idol carrying his daughter, (she was born while he was auditioning) and his wife was with him and another couple.

I don't know what made me do it but...I jumped up...dashed across..fled the couple of stairs and raced in the Miami heat down 1/2 a block until I reached them. I don't what made me say it either but I said "show me that sweet little daughter of yours" (or I think it was something like that)...and he turned around, smiled and proudly showed her to me. She was so pretty.

I told him I'm an American Idol fan and enjoyed his singing (touched his arm)...said hi and gave a little wave to his wife like she should have known me....and although I had my camera in my hand I didn't ask for a picture. Somehow he looked like he wanted some time for himself and he wasn't THAT smiley...so...I left it at that..

I borrowed the above picture from here but I can vouch this is exactly how he would have looked if I'd taken his pic (although he was dressed casual in jeans).

How Marc ever spotted him considering he isn't even THAT much an American Idol fan I'll never know...but I'm glad he did.

Have you had a similar experience? It was fun... Judi xoxo

Dearest Judi! I can't say I haven't seen too many celebrities in my life that close, but I did see Fred Astaire as a child walking his dog in Beverly Hills, Patti Lupone in Paris (the original Evita on Broadway), John Denver in Boston, and some of our local news anchors here in Minneapolis! HEEEEE!

Thank you for coming out to see me all the way from Florida? WOW....it must be hot out there. Thank you for leaving such kind comments about the PATINA of our lives.....do come back and you are welcome anytime!

Have a wonderful remainder of the summer, Anita

Oh how fun Judi! If you had let that moment go by without running after him, you would have always regretted it. Good job Hubby for spotting him. I guess he didn't know you were going to jump up and leave him when he said that!! Fun -- nee! laurie

Good for You! Isn't that one of the reasons why these people audition? They want to be famous! You probably made his dream come true! Great story!

Hi Judi!! Oh, how fun!! You are one brave gal!! How great you were able to talk to him.
We were in Austin, Tx,once having dinner and in walked Mary Kay Place, an actress. She's not really famous, but has been in lots of movies. I recognized her and walked over to her table and told her I had admired her work for years and she was very kind and I was nervous! :)
Thanks for popping in to see my kitchen!! The paint is just called Bright White and it's a semi gloss.
I've missed you!! Take care.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)

I'm not sure how I missed this post, Judi! I do not remember this guy and I am a big AI fan! Hmmm...weird.

We see celebrities here all the time. I have taken care of a few as a nurse as well. I guess because of that, we don't get too excited anymore. It is always fun to see them though!

There is one celebrity I would love to see, and spend some time talking to...someone my heart goes out to, and who I feel has such talent and is such a good person...I wish the absolute best for her, and that is Lindsay Lohan.

Seeing Micheal was a very cool!!!
