Family Weekend at the Lake - Breakfast Casserole...friendly animals

This weekend is family day at the cottage. Marc's brother and wife will bring their mom who will be 96 in November to the lake for 2 nights. That will be a 2-1/2 hour drive and they'll arrive this afternoon. The 6 "kids" will arrive during the evening after their work. They'll set up tents outside. I'll make lasagne for dinner.

Tomorrow afternoon will start an open house of friends stopping by. They'll come to visit mom and stay and eat and there will be bocci and other games to play. The weather is going to be hot and sunny. Perfect picnic day.

I forgot to bring the cord to transfer picture to my computer with me so this is a breakfast we made. The potatoes were leftovers from the previous dinner that had been wrapped in foil and on the grill. They were sliced smaller. We beat eggs, added diced ham, sauteed onions, salt and pepper and poured into individual oval ramekins. After baking for 35 minutes we added some shredded cheddar cheese to melt and then indulged. Yum!

and we had a bunny a couple of cottages over....

and a deer in the apple orchard behind us....

Hope you have a lovely day...as my American friends move towards July 4th Independence Day... Judi xoxo
