25th Anniversary Celebration at Work....

I was one of about 25 people who received a formal invitation to celebrate our 25th Anniversary at the College where I work. It was given by the President and Executive Committee. It was held in a beautiful manor in the city. My eldest son Geoff attended as my guest. Marc could not attend because since he is out of the country Tuesdays are not good. Geoff was a graduate of the college and it was special for him to be there on 2 counts.....

It was really a beautiful affair with lovely appetizers and mingling on the terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds for about 1-1/2 hours. Then we settled inside to our tables for a delicious candlelight dinner.

After dinner the President congratulated and presented each of us with a Seneca Pin with a little diamond chip in it.

It was all done in such a lovely way. Our President and the whole Executive Committee are very down to earth and nice people. They sat amongst us at our tables and it was very enjoyable.

At the end one of us could take the table flower arrangement home. Our table decided I should take them. I felt very special throughout the whole evening...no wonder I've been there so many years.
Did you spend many years at one place of employment also?
I hope it was/is a great experience as well....Judi xoxo

Well, congratulations, honey!! What a nice thing to do for you. You son looks an awful lot like my son-in-law, just thinner than he was. Cute!!

Hi Judi! OH, congratulations for your many years at your job! You look so pretty and your son is so handsome! It sounds like it was a lovely affair. The flowers are gorgeous and your pin is so nice! I'm sure they are so very happy to have you as an employee.
Thank you for popping in to see me. Glad you like my new little header. I use a program called Print Shop and make my things there, then save it as a jped and then I upload it to my blog. Does that help?
Hope the rest of the week is wonderful for you.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

How beautiful, Judi! Great that Geoff could go with you!!! You looked so beautiful. What a grand occasion...and you so deserved it after 25 years!!! That is a long employment. The longest I worked in one place were two separate hospitals ...each for 10 years.

Yes, I spent 5 years teaching in one high school and 9 teaching in another. It IS special, Judi, and I say, "Congratulations for your loyalty!"

Congratulations Judi!! What a fabulous celebration. It sounds like they did it up right. How fun to be picked to take home that beautiful flower arrangement.

I have been at my job for 14 years....though very part-time now. But, if you find a good job you might as well stick with it. They are few and far between.

Hope you are having a wonderful week.♥
