Happy PINK Saturday - Precious Moment

****I'm having a Giveaway...see my Sidebar****

Thank you Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for hosting PINK Saturday. Be sure to click on her name to visit all the other PINK participants sharing so many different PINKnesses...

I should be saving this post for Mother's Day but I'm having a precious moment right now so I'm sharing on PINK Saturday. My 2 sons were 20 and 16 when their father and I separated and we moved out. My sons and I were always very close however that time was difficult for us all and when Richard was 18 he moved out. He was 19 when he moved to the west coast to British Columbia and lived with my brother. When he was 20 he came back for Geoff's wedding and he stayed home... *big smiles*.

On Mother's Day while he was away he emailed me a card he had made. I will always remember how I felt that moment as I read his beautiful words to me. It touched me very deeply and I wished I could have given him a big hug that moment.

Now 9 years later I've pulled the card from my treasures and placed it in a frame tonight. I'm going to decorate the outside of the frame and show it to you another time. You can see the pretty PINK flowers in the picture part of the card.

I've put a recent picture of us (before losing my 20 lbs). Richard is the son on the far left Geoff is in the middle. Click on the first picture so you can read Rich's words.

Happy PINK Saturday...may it be a precious one for you too.... Judi xoxo

Hi Judi,
I love getting special cards like that too. My youngest son gave me a beautiful card for my birthday which I shared on last week's Pink Saturday post. Oftentimes it's daughters that go out of their way to get a special card. It is almost more precious when a son does it. Our families are so precious and I adore my three sons!
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hey you! I've joined Pink Saturdays! Yeppers. Did my first pink post! Visiting around and thinking oh my, there's almost too much to see. I forgot you did Pink Saturday! And, that was a nice post - something to be very grateful about. Hard times turning to better times. That's good stuff. Jenn

Awe Judi...that was so sweet to share such a story from your life! I, too, had an a-ha moment with my step-son one Christmas. It was something he had written in a tag on my Christmas present and it made me burst into tears! I still have that tag in my jewelry box!!! You have two sweet, and very good looking sons there!!!!!

Hi, Judi! What a lovely story! And your mosaic tray turned out beautifully. Beware -- Chopping china becomes very addictive!

You asked about patterns for my tea cozies. There aren't any - I just make them as I go. I know I should remedy that because I get asked that all the time, but I haven't done it yet. When I do, you'll be the first to get one, I promise!

Warmly, Ronda

Oh Judi, how lovely this post is! I love the idea of framing the crd with a picture of the three of you. That will be such a wonderful reminder of the love you all hold for one another. laurie

Good evening Judi. This was so lovely. I had tears in my eyes when I read it. Your son sounds like a very special person. You lost 20 lbs? How wonderful is that! Diet, exercise? Thank you for your kind comments and concern for charli and me. We had a rough week but things are returning to normal. Charli is back to being her usual silly self ♥
