I'm writing this post on Sunday evening just after the Canadians played U.S. to win the Gold in hockey and just before the closing ceremonies. It has so been part of my life for the past 17 days and while I'm sad it is coming to a close, I am happy and proud to be a Canadian, proud of the athletes of Canada, of the United States, of Finland and of all participating countries.
I can't even imagine how wonderful it was for all the athletes who participated in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. We have shared in the lives and the stories of so many of the participants and gotten to "know" them.
The BLUE I'm sharing today is pictures I took with my digital from TV. Here are the 3 flags following the Canada vs U.S. hockey game. What a time for Canada to be on the podium receiving Gold after hosting the Olympics. I am proud of them and of the U.S. receiving Silver in that game and for their strength and their patriotism and victories at these Olympics. Marc is American and I have many wonderful American friends and blogging friends so I share in their celebration. The BLUE of the U.S. flag is so uplifting. The third flag with its BLUE and white is from Finland for the bronze they won in hockey and the pride continues. Finland is my family's background.

The metals hung from BLUE ribbons....

The Olympic symbol in the ice was BLUE as was the wall around the rink.

Congratulations to all the remarkable athletes of our own
countries and from around the world.... Judi xoxo
